Study Of Food Safety Laws And Regulatory Issues

Food is the foundation of human survival and development. The problem of food safety is closely related to human health and the people's livelihood .In recent years, along with the rapid development of China's economy, people's living standards improve gradually, the problem of food safety is becoming the focus and tending to a global problem. Some frequent malignant events happened about food safety in some countries and regions of the world, and the problem in our country is also very sharp, it has threatened the stability of the society. Along with the rapid development of our country economy and society, food safety problem has aroused the concern of the whole society under the preface of solving the food supply. Food safety related to people's health and lives, related to the national economic development and political stability. Therefore, food safety measures have been taken from all aspects to insure the food safety, the food supervision officer has been set up, and the relevant food safety standards have been formulated. However, we should be aware that some defections and problems of China's food safety supervision system still exist. The traditional food supervision system can not adapt to the needs of development, thus strengthening and perfecting China's food safety supervision system and some related regulations is particularly important and urgent.This article is organized from four parts. First, it introduces the concepts of food safety, introduces the present situation of China's food safety and analyzes the necessity of food safety supervision from the angle of food itself. The second part introduces some foreign food safety laws and regulations and some aspirations taken from the laws and regulations about their relevant legal supervision of foreign food safety. The third part analyses the present situation and defects of food safety supervision from the aspects of law formulation and enforcement legislation. The fourth part is about some good suggestions to improve our legislation and food safety standards and to food safety supervision regulations.
