The number of the disabled person in the world is nearly 600 million. Because of their disability, they have been discriminated in a long time. As the part of the group, they can not be deprived of their natural human rights.On December 13, 2006, The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities was adopted in the 61st United Nations General Assembly. It is the first human rights treaty to be adopted in the 21st century, and it is the new beginning of protecting the disabled persons'rights. Comparing with the other lawful documents, this treaty has been more advanced, not only on the definition of the disabled person and the explanation of the rights provisions, but on the main body participating the treaty negotiation. Because its items are specific and practical,the treaty will be the most important law in the area of the international protection of the disabled person. On the basis of researching on the related law documents, the article analyzes nearly the whole treaty provisions, and it is the main part of the thesis.China has signed the treaty, and on April 24th, 2008, we adopted the new revised version of the law of disabled persons'protection. It develops the old rights items and keeps a good connection with the treaty. Moreover, we should make great efforts to perfect our domestic law systems and the social protection system. In the final part, the author raises some immature suggestions and hopes that they are helpful to improve the current situation of protecting the disabled persons.
