21 century, we live in the era of technology. In real life, there are many technology providing convenience for us. From one needle to one airplane, all of these are produced by technology. So with regard to criminal investigation, we have a lot of modern criminal facility to use, which expand our ability of sensory perception. Because of the increasing developing of science technology, and the arrival of information society, traditional method of criminal investigation, cognition measure, and theory consciousness are facing new challenges. In complicated society, the changes of life style and social structure in which technology changing fast, information frequency exchanging, and more floating population cause social issues and crime issues more complicated. So the challenges result in updating and enriching of method, measure and consciousness. Based on those, this article examines criminal investigation and forensic science from information.The first part of this thesis is information and evidence. It relates to something of information, fact, factual information, evidence and fact of case, and so on. From point of philosophical view, we can comprehend the essence of information. Information is substantive, so we have the base of apperceiving and cognizing objective things. Fact is one kinds of statements and judgements about objective things and phenomena. In criminal case, factual information can educe fact of evidence, and fact of evidence can prove fact of case. With regard to evidence, it can be divided into human testimony and material evidence from the view of information.The second part of this thesis is information of investigation obtaining techniques—the base of scientific investigation. It relates to information of investigation, information of physical evidence and physical evidence techniques of information, and so on. Information of investigation includes three aspect contents, and has very important status in criminal investigation. It is key step to obtain information of investigation in criminal investigation.
