Japanese Consular Protection System Study

Consular protection is an important part of international consularpractices. But the studies of consular protection only stay at the beginningstep in today's diplomatic research. With the importance of consularaffairs becoming increasingly eminent, the issue of consular protection isattracting more and more attentions. This thesis chooses the field ofconsular protection as the subject in the hope of furthering the studies inthe practical diplomatic affairs.This thesis starts with the explanations of several concepts related toconsulate. In the main part of the thesis, the contexts focus on introducingthe Japanese consular protection system. Then, the thesis tries to use thedevelopment and situation of Japanese consular system in recent years asresearch perspective with the aim to finding some useful experiences andinteresting results. Through the comparison with China's current consularprotection system, the thesis harvests the important achievements whichcan serve as the guidance for China's consular protection system reform.Moreover, the last part of the thesis concludes foresights of China'sconsular protection system reform.
