Nowadays, the word "salary" is not fully equal to simple physical rewards, butone important spiritual motivation. For enterprises, design one fair, reasonable,flexible and competitive salary system is essential to attract and retain talentedstaff to devote themselves fully into the development of enterprises. Meanwhile,the salary is one important factor of cost for enterprises. Theymust make balancebetween their development speed, profit margin, salary level and many kinds ofother factors such as concrete working duty, management role, knowledge,working environment etc, then decide one rational salary system throughsystemic analysis. Therefore, the design of the salary system is one systemicwork. This thesis first discusses the importance of enterprise salary systemdesign----especially the salary system of management staff----for the humanresource management. Then, the thesis probes into current situation existing inYantai enterprises' salary modes. Problems and reasons of management staff's'salary system in Yantai enterprises have been studied carefully. According to thetheoretical foundation of the salary system design, principles and factors thatshould be considered in Yantai enterprises' salary system design have beendiscussed. Moreover, the thesis uses one case----Yantai Fushan Gold Companyto show how the salary system of management staff has been reformed. Finally,some practical factors in implementing the possible salary system reform havebeen considered. The following conclusions have been made: First, designing the enterprise'ssalary system must take the enterprise's strategy as direction; Second,enterprises must make the design based on the relevant salary theory; Third,enterprises must grasp certain methods and procedures in salary system design;Fourth, the design should be made according to the serious market survey; Fifth,the system of the salary should reflect the achievement and value; Sixth, designof enterprise's salary system should be supported by the policy, related systembuilding etc. |
