The success of Chinese entry into WTO in Nov. 2001 symbolized her participation in the course of the liberalization. At the same time, China will open her agricultural products market step by step. Because of agricultural products' special and important position, the opening of agricultural products market in China is certain to bring profound affection on the politics, economy and other aspects of the society. Therefore, there is no doubt that doing researches in a deep-going way on WTO' regulations of agricultural products trade, probing actively into the challenges and opportunities to it brought about by entering into WTO and quickening the tempo of legislation construction and perfecting have intense practical and theoretic significance to the standardization of agricultural products trade market and to the adaptation of it to the world. Aiming at it, according to the situation of Chinese agricultural products market' opening, this paper summed up the advantages and disadvantages brought about by entering into WTO to Chinese agricultural products trade on the basis of a brief introduction of the primary content of "Agreement on Agriculture" made by WTO, the promises in Uruguay-round made by main countries and regions and WTO' trade regulation's influence on the international agricultural products market. Moreover, taking that as a starting point, this paper analyzed the effect of the opening of agricultural products market on China's relevant legislation construction, inquired into the necessity of the perfecting of legislation on agricultural products market and put forward several constructive suggestions on improving legal system to suit the needs of the development of reform in rural area, strengthening the administrative law enforcement and justice, doing well in the legal protection of agricultural sustainable development, and taking part in the relevant activities of international economic legislation on agricultural products and so on and so forth. |
