On The Patriotism Education In The Age Of Globalization

Patriotism is an evergreen subject in the class society. It is always a tremendous force, that keep the national integrity, resist the foreign attack and drive the society developing forward.As a historical category, patriotism will present some characteristics of the new era with the constant change of the social and historical conditions. Globalization has been a strong tidal current with the development of the informational science such as computer and web, the emergence of the transnational corporations, and the globalization of maketing economy. It has been a violent shock to the traditional views on national sovereignty, security sovereignty and national culture. Reflected on the ideological level, It is also a stem challage and strengthen patriotistic education will be a crucial subject to be solved urgently.The concept of patriotism and its connotational analysis are introduced in the first part of this thesis. Then the challenges confronting patriotism against the background of globalization are analysed from both the theoretical and practical perspectives. Lastly, the author gives a tentative exploration on how to conduct patriotistic educatioin in China in the era of globalization.
