China is the biggest developing country in the world and USA is the biggest developed country in the world, the development of the relationship between China and USA influences the world structure very much. Sino-USA relationship is very important in China's diplomatic affairs and the research on Sino- USA relationship has good effect in drawing up diplomatic policies and forecasting the development of the world strcture. The paper sorts out Sino- USA relationship after 9.11 crisis, refers to prior research result and hope to make innovation in theory and practice.The paper divides the Sino- USA relationship after 9.11 crisis into 3 stages: from 9.11 crisis to the end of Iraq war; the second term of Bush administration; from Obama taking office to 2011. The 3 stages both have time order and affect each other. The paper lays a basis on time order, analyze and sort out the 4 stages between China and USA after 9.11 crisis and hope to find the new feature and trend in the beginning of the 21st century between China and USA. The problem on Taiwan and Tibet and the situation of the Korean peninsula influence the Sino- USA relationship very much and these factors will be analyzed carefully so as to summarize lesson and provide experiences for the research on the Sino- USA relationship.The Sino- USA relationship is very importan in the world and it has much effect on the peace and stability of Asian-Pacific area and the world's peace and development. The writer hopes that the paper can throw a sprat to catch a herring and more and more people pay attention to the Sino- USA relationship.
