Portraits are well inherited by several unknown artists as a practical art. In the late Ming Dynasty, a famous artist Zengjing made unremitted efforts to promote portraits to a new level by his delicate techniques, which made the old art reborn. He made great breakthrough in technical terms and achieve vivid moment, which demonstrating human nature and art value. His spirits were well kept by his students and finally formed a regional art school---Bochen School. They pursuit creative and individual art techniques and the novel arts are widely accepted by the public, which became a respectful arts form at late Ming Dynasity.Recently, researches on Zengjing and his works make great achievement, however, lack of historic documents limit the further research. The paper conducts researches on the basis of previous researches and makes deep research in his arts form and the whole atmosphere in late Ming.The paper focus on Bochen---Mogu method. The 2nd chapter shows Zengjing travel for arts and find relations between local environment, ideas and art forms. The 3rd one describes features and process of Mogu method as well as innovations. The 4th chapter makes deep analysis of people, painting techniques and colors. After analysis, it is easy to find out that what makes Zengjing a famous artist is that he makes big breakthrough in a fresh new times, which contributes a lot to his works. The value of his works is not only creative art language, but human spirit and social psychology of certain class.
