Piano Music In The Flamenco Art

This thesis takes as the researching objects the representative piano works Four Pieces of Spanish Music by famous Spanish composer Falla of the nineteen century. Falla integrated both Flamenco music, the essence of the Spanish music, and the sounds of the guitar into this work,which make it be with strong national flavor. The work is made up of four pieces,including Aragonesa, Cubana, Montanesa and Andaluza. In the second chapter , the writer starts with both form and style of music, then gains deep insights into the musical images of each piece, which is featured by Spanish local music flavors; makes in-deepth analysis to how to represent the features of Flamenco music and to integrate guitar music into his piano works in these four pieces . In the second chapter, the writer also gives a detailed analysis that the composer used to embody the unique features in the wrorks by many kinds of the piano-playing techniques . Falla perfectly combined the composing techniques of the West with the elements of the Spanish music, making the works Four Pieces of Spanish Music one of the dazzling stars in Spanish piano music.
