| Folk song of the minority nationalities, as the root and soul of Chinese people, is the essence of Chinese traditional culture. It accumulates primitive nature of people and the evolution traces of human beings, so the protective development of it seems extremely significant in modern society. Bulang People, living in Yunnan Province and with less than 10 million populations in the whole country, is one of the unique minority nationalities in China. Bulang People's productivity and production relations have been changed and improved a lot since the reform and opening up policy launched in China, 1978. This is also true of their living standards. Meanwhile, however, changes in the way and circumstances of Bulang People results in a great impact on their arts and culture ---- lots of amazing traditional arts are dying when losing living environment. Bulang People's life in Shuangjiang County, Lincang, Yunan is a thoroughly vivid and sad example of the loss. In the area, cement concrete house replaced Ji Zhaolong house, the traditional house of Bulang people; low-cost clothes took up the post of traditional textile technology; popular songs substituted traditional folk ones…. Though some ancient and traditional sorts of Bulangs'arts and culture still exist in this area, they are also facing the risk of dying out of people's vision. Preserves of these arts and culture are becoming more and more difficult since the young prefer popular and modern songs to traditional arts. In such a situation, researches on Bulang people's arts and culture preserve and protection would be very crucial and vital.This paper will try to sort some dates of Bulangs'arts and culture in Shuangjiang County, Lincang, Yunan, discuss something about preserves of the arts and finally, come up with some solutions to protect and develop the arts. |
