In The Visual Arts To The Visual Tendency

As the images being duplicated and overflowed nowadays, The contemporary art is in a tangle with some image related topics such as "translation","embezzle",and "grafting" etc. In addition, the "image painting", " image sculpture" take more and more important role in contemporary art. Scene of those works finally represent an visual image which contains the artist's creativity in front of the audience. Maybe they will provide some amazing or fantastic points. Actually, if those paintings or sculptures only represent this, there are no essential different between them and photography, except in different media. Whether it is the only way or choice for contemporary art that just pursue the visual effect?In this thesis, I try to summarize another rout in visual art which are different from those image painting and image sculpture by analyse a series of art piece that have the character of visual subtraction. Those works are kinds of recall of the visual or image system, they focus on the edge of visual art. The "non-visual" presentation way provide some possibilities to visual art.Begin with the concept of visual art, then to the special inclination "non-visual" examples in the visual art field. There is a special relationship between those non-visual work and vision, or even anti-visual. Also there are some efforts to develop the perceptual methodology around vision. Actually, all those things have essential connection to vision.As we covering some sub-vision examples, I catalogue the topics in this following discussing to make a comprehensive analyse on vision and some other perceivers in the contemporary art field. To understand the inclination of "visual subtraction" in visual art is essential, not only in the research front of contemporary art, but also help us to recognize the deep relationship between vision and those art pieces which based on visual strategies. This is the deep reason for my thesis.For those works have the character that it is hard to spread by paper based media. Those features give the restriction that they can't be the main aspect of the visual art.
