| Based on an open-ended questionnaire, talking face and face with some students and literature pertinent, the study analyzes the situation which inquires endurance of undergraduate in their daily life. The author compiles the endurance questionnaire of undergraduate and the reliability and validity were tested out. Then the status of undergraduates'endurance was investigated through the formal questionnaire, in which characteristics were studied. At last, several suggestions were proposed to the undergraduate according to the characteristics of the undergraduates'endurance.The main results of this study are as follows:(1) The self-designed endurance questionnaire of college students consists of three scales. According to the results of factor analysis, three major dimensions are found in each scale: endurance cognition, endurance acts and endurance mood, which are concordant with theory. The test of the validity of the three scales shows that the scales are of high reliability and validity.(2) The general characteristics of endurance of undergraduate shows in the questionnaire are as follows:on the study scale, the average score from highest to lowest ranges as:endurance cognition, endurance acts, and endurance mood; On the interpersonal relation scale, the average score from highest to lowest ranges as:endurance acts, endurance mood, and endurance cognition; on personal life scale, it ranges as:endurance cognition, endurance acts and endurance mood.(3) Comparison of endurance of undergraduate between students of different genders shows significant difference on many dimensions; comparison between students learning different subjects shows significant difference between arts and science students on interpersonal relations scale and personal life scale; comparison between students of different grades shows significant difference between freshmen and student of other grades on study scale. There is no obvious difference among undergraduate in other demography variables.(4) The relationship between endurance and anger shows that there is a negative correlation between many dimensions of anger and endurance. |
