Because of its woodwind timbre, flute can perform not only with the brass instruments but also perform with the string instruments in chamber music. How do the performers alter the timbre of flute to let the music more harmonious? The timbre is a terminology that is difficult to delimit for it has so many characters, so that it is more useful to expound the purpose and the methods to the flute's timbre-changing.
