Picture Book Mouse Visual Image Of The Interpretation: Under The Multi-dimensional Perspective Of Literary Theory

Literature theory in children literature is a weak link in the development of literary theory. As a new theory of literary theory in children literature, the theoretical research of picture books is still in its infancy. But in this decade, Publishing and reading picture books is becoming increasingly popular in the Chinese mainland and picture books play a more and more important role in Chinese children's life. This provides survival and development conditions for the development of picture books and needs for more theoretical research in this area. To satisfy the demand of development, this paper takes the first step towards the theoretical research in picture books to increase the picture book fans to deepen their understanding and to promote the picture books development.In this paper, the author focused on a animal imagery- mice, which is animal imagery of highly frequency of occurrence in picture books. Then author pay close attention on its features as a visual image in many classic and popular picture books, used various kinds of literary theory as a perspective, referenced many picture books theory views of theorists in order to explore the rich connotation of mice as a visual image. Specific perspective of literary theory in used as follows: narratology, semiology, ideology, theory, cultural anthropology. The theory foundation of structure in this paper is the basic feature of image and "the intellectual arsenal" theory. Used many kinds of literary theory from various angles, we discussed mice as a typical imagery in picture books, tried summarized its rich connotation and generalized some common feature in children literature and visual semiology and accomplished a great journey in which we gained meaning from literary theoretical research in diverse texts.This paper used the narratology's perspective to analysis picture books of mice. Some conclusion as follows: The narrative structure of the main story with secondary story often bear a function of surprises in the narrative structure in the final version and to explore it repeatedly in the narrative of the features, this is one of the common in the work of children literary. The analysis from Semiotic perspective is Perry·Nordman's picture books Semiotic code analysis theory. the main analysis area is the cover and borders in mice picture books, emotions and atmosphere, symbolic visual image. From the views of ideology, The Author discussed the picture book category in best-selling book and generalized a variety of ideological assumptions: the basic plot, stereotypes image in gender, as well as the "small" body of mice, clothes of mice, favorite of mice, as well as the characteristics of pastoral literature in picture book story. From these symbols, which is formulation and stereotypes, we can find some ideological assumptions for children and in literature for children, which is imposed by adults. The research from the perspective of cultural anthropology is mainly based on the book "rat to marry the bride" writed by Liu Zhonghui ,a picture book writer in Taiwan. This picture book is full of Chinese traditional folk culture .Then we analysed how the picture ,in the form of mice visual image, show out traditional folk culture. Finally, summarized the Chinese traditional folk culture as: multi-concept multi-fu, hard-working farmers, and family attitudes to life, wish longevity and harvest, look forward to a harmonious life easy.
