China ink, as one of the most fundamental basis of color, especially as the color of the soul of traditional Chinese paintings, has been used in a wide range. Owing to its outstanding performance, China ink is playing an increasingly important role in traditional Chinese paintings.In traditional Chinese paintings, ink is a symbol of personality. It has been given the spirit of the rich connotation. This thesis, by analyzing the relationship among ink, lines, colors, shape and flavor of paintings in the classical paintings of traditional exquisite brush character, it illuminates the leading role of ink in brush stroke figural paintings color mixing. So, the thesis provides us a better guide for our creative practice.
