Among the Han and Tang calligraphic creation theories, Yushinan used "Xing" to describe the aesthetic psychology of the calligraphic artists during their art creation, but the "Xing" theory actually started from the statement of Caiyong, that "calligraphy is San" . There had been some problems elaborated about the aesthetic characteristics of calligrapher, conscious and unconsciousness, and psychological factors in Han and Tang calligraphic creation theories. Therefore, it can be said that the "Xing" theories discussed at Han and Tang dynasty had conformed the structure which is discoursed in the book "Modern Aesthetic System" written by Yelang.
