Since the ancient time, China is in a close and intimate relationship with its neighbor Korea and this trend especially activates in the modern times that many Koreans immigrated into China, and by whose political and economic activities, the history of China and Korea was deeply and broadly influenced. This article concerns the Koreans in Nanjing and studies the political, economic and cultural activities of Koreans which immigrated into Nanjing in 1910 and went back to Korea in 1946; the article attempts to seek and analyze the process of the Koreans movement to Nanjing, their living situation and their relationship with the China government and Japan. Besides, the article probes to a more deep and broaden understanding on the nature and position of those Koreans in Nanjing.This article is composed of the following three parts:The preface reviews the research situation, the significance and the methods of this item.The body is made up of four parts. The first chapter is the general introduction for the immigration and emigration of the Koreans. Koreans to pay tribute and to study in Nanjing in ancient times provide basic information of Nanjing. After the open of the port, more and more Koreans appeared in Nanjing due to economic and politic reasons. The second chapter mainly introduces activities happened in Nanjing during the period from 1910 to 1937. And analyze the support from the government to the independence movement in Nanjing and analyze the Koreans understanding on Chinese government and Chinese development. The third chapter concerns the political, economic and cultural state of the Korean after Nanjing was occupied by Japan. The forth part studies the fact that the national government and temporary government delegation in China repatriates Korean after the end of the Second World War and explores the influence of repatriation on East Asia and international relationship. At last, the article summarizes the nature change of the Korean in Nanjing. Compare with the Koreans in Shanghai, the Koreans in Nanjing was puniness but had great influence on the relationship between China and Korea, even the East Asia.
