Chinese sitcom is in the history of the development for more than 10 years. Although a numerous of works were produced, people are impressed by directors of a few. Now, people will not only think of Yingda, but also think of Shang Jing when they are talking about sitcoms. "My Own Swordsman" let Shang and the actors enjoy a good reputation in China. Shang's sitcom indicates that China has entered a new stage of development, and started with the convergence of the market.On the one hand, with the current social and cultural context, this paper excavated the phenomenon that Shang's sitcom appreciated by many people from a variety of reasons; on the other hand, by focusing on the theme, figure, narrative structure and dialogue, the paper analyzed the common art characteristics of Shang's four works: the theme which returns to the traditional moral expression enriches the content; the figures who are taken off the hero's halo narrow the gap between the audience and the comedy; the comedy's narrative structure breaks the traditional model and offers the texts social and cultural deep meaning; Shang Jing surveyed of all humor means to excited the audience. The analysis may contribute the theoretical experience to the development of Chinese sitcom.
