From History To Legend

The story of Wu Zixu is one of the popular stories in ancient China. The paper is trying to analyze the evolvement of the story in the pre-Qin and Han dynasty of ancient China, which would make us know better about the differences between the history and the literature.The popularity of the act of revenge in the pre-Qin and Han dynasty is the historical background of the story of Wu Zixu, which is the central topic of the second charpter. And the following chapter is based on the ancient Chinese classics and literature, like Zuo zhuan and Shi ji for example. The fourth chapter is the comparative research on two history records: Yuejue shu and Wuyue Chunqiu. And the last chapter uses the discovered materials to discuss influences from the folktales.
