The Northern popular novel of Republic of China is the popular fictions that appeared at Peking and Tientsin region in the period of Republic of China. From the very beginning to the development and withdraw from the history stage finally, it has experienced about thirty years, that was the quickest transformation period of literature.As a branch of Chinese modern popular literature, the Northern popular novel has gone through a change process as well, that from the old to the new.
