From its unique narrating way and its unique mode of thinking—parody, this paper studies parody literature, which is taking wulitou culture as its background, analyzes its characteristic, discusses its influence, significance and defect. The parody literature at present can be mainly divided into two kinds: dahua and kuso. Dahua unfolds its language charm and secularist happy sufficiently, by language carnival and the common people's sight. The subversion that dahua to language significance, makes the masses who creates the texts and who accepts them extricate from language standard fetters ,and regard language as one kind of pastime , game freely; at the same time, enables the language to be more vivid and to have more expressive power. Dahua shows the trivialness and absurdness of life through parodying and has deep society connotation. The common people's sight causes the solemn history to move towards be mediocre, the serious narrative trend to be funny. When restating on these classics, dahua enlightens us on such problems: what is a hero, how to treat classics, how to treat entertainment, and so on.Kuso is a kind of exaggerated criticism on the reality, showing intense solicitudes for the reality. It not only demonstrates the lives which are more ordinary, more widespread and more ridiculous, but also manifests the subjective initiative and the rational spirit of the kuso framer. But a great lot of negative information and caustic critique in the kuso texts, which often makes the rational criticism be submerged by giving vent to indignation subjectively, have seditious effect and is easy to arouse populace's non-rational psychology and behavior. The appearance and the popularity of the parody literature have its unique social background and cultural environment. As one kind of youth subculture, the parody literature has subverting intention to authority and holiness, but just a kind of limited subversion and"the resistance throughout rituals". It has poured into the fresh blood for the mainstream culture. The culture of wulitou and the parody literature may continue developing and have much broader effect within a period of time. Certainly, criticize and blame to them also can not be disconnected. |
