Buddhism was introduced to China since the end of Xi Han Dynasty. It was inosculated with the Chinese local culture after the developments in hundreds of years and formed a certain way till the 6th-9th century. The number of the temples, buddhists and materials increased rapidly. The obvious progress of the Chinese Buddhism accelerated its charities' growth. During that time, China had been getting more and more peace instead of wars and split. The temples and the monks had the principles of kind-hearted and helping all people. As the time going, they begun to help people who was wounded in the wars. In the peace time, they had many poor students in their care. The buddhists' charities show many features and set up good image, which draw more and more people believe religious and reduced the blows of the anti-Buddhism. The activities of supporting the education raised the cultural level of it. The country flourishes and people living in peace is the important feature in any civilized country. Sui and Tang Dynasty was the most developed period, not only in economy, but also in culture, the national emergency policy and the better cultural environment played the key roles in keeping the safety of all the society and the philanthropy of Buddhism played the essential role during this period. Religious will influence today and future's charities. So researching buddhists' charities may help our harmonious society's development and make necessary amendment to the rules and regulations of social welfares.
