| The final goal for teaching Chinese as a second language is to foster students'communication skills in Chinese. And the highest requirement in communication skills is the appropriate speech in conversation. The core of this is that the conversation must be suitable to the context.This article emphasizes on three aspects: first, presenting the principles of the decency of speech communication; second, presenting communication context– the concepts, classification, and functions, and through some examples proving the close relationship between the decency of conversations and the contexts; third, discussing the relationship between the decency of communication and the Chinese teaching, then combining with self-experience about teaching Chinese as a second language to present several assumptions on how to instruct student to communicate decently. |
