Chinese Literary Studies, Evaluation Of The Humanitarian Ideas Of Tolstoy

As soon as we treat modern Chinese literature of the 20^th Century reflexively, nobody can ignore the great impact of a literary trend of 19 Century called "the Critical Realism" in Russia. And Tolstoy was just a great and important person that can be on behalf of the Critical Realism in Russian during that period. The study on Tolstoy has lasted over a hundred years and accumulated abundant productions. But we still have not enough fruits on whole hackling and reviewing on the acceptance of Tolstoy in China.The article tries to card the acceptance of Tolstoy's idea of Humanitarianism, as well as hand the spread of theory about Russian literature and its ideas of Humanitarianism together. The writer will not only put a whole consideration on the history of 20^th Century comment in China on Tolstoy's idea of Humanitarianism, but also explore the correlative factors that restrict and promote the studies on Tolstoy. Moreover, I will also discuss the problems such as how to inherit the heritages of literature; how to treat the comment Lenin on Tolstoy properly; and how to treat the humanity and humanitarianism, etc.
