A marked characteristic of ancient Chinese supervision institutional-is superincumbent supervision. in this dissertation, based on reviewing the supervision institutional of central government to local authority before Ming dynasty, it is discussed that Zhu Yuanzhang appointed ambassador to supervise magistrate and established a new supervision institutional that is beneficial to govern local authority better. trying to research the swing of the pendulum of power between supervising ambassador and magistrate, it is analyzed of local polity of Ming dynasty.using Code of Ming, historical data and research production before, following the attitude of practical and realistic, insisting on historical materialism, based on some proper example, this dissertation researched the superincumbent supervision of Ming including its beginning, operation and admonition by the numbers.
