The subject of this thesis is Fu with the theme of realistic women figures. Based on selecting and gathering related Fu during Six Dynasties, the content, the way expressed and the peculiarities displayed in male's compositions are all considered. By taking the overall social environment, the living conditions and diverse destinies of the women of that time into account, the paper attempts to explain them reasonably.Firstly, in the development of Fu during the stage of Six Dynasties, the selected works take on two obvious characteristics, namely, attaching importance to emotion and making much of beauty. At the same time, they are valued to a different extent, respectively in Weijin and in Southern Dynasty. This phenomenon is closely related to the contemporaneous social life and literary climate.Secondly, these writings describe women with different status and fates, including imperial concubines, hostesses, widows, the deserted, jealous and yarning women, and so on. However, these images possess some common characteristics, such as restrictive living space, humble moral character, passive role in amativeness and marriage.Thirdly, taking the male writers as a whole, the female images in their opuses are often congruously materialized, the life of women reflected is very narrow and humdrum in contrast to the true situations in history, and the structure presented in many articles is similar to each other. All of the resemblances, on one hand, reflect the living conditions of women in patriarchy society consciously or unconsciously. On the other hand, the sameness is related to the male authors themselves, that is to say, in these productions they confided their own complicated mournful feelings experienced in real life.
