Sight singing is a synthetic vocational training. It can only be accomplished by the unification of listening and singing. In addition it is also one of the best means to cultivate the listening and musical senses. Its obbligato provides the learners with the musical expressing accurately. Besides, the diverse harmonic sounds can be supplied by the harmony of the piano. The feasibility of various accompaniments helps the learners to grasp different rhythm types, chords and to stimulate emotions.Sight singing and accompaniment account for an important role in practicing listening. However, in the modern times, there are still quiet few sight singing songs where a piece of melody can include all the intervals and accompaniment spectrum, especially, the academic world has not paid enough attention to the feasibility research where a fixed melody is equipped with diverse tempos and harmonic background. This deficiency is indicated by inadequate researches about interval sight singing. Also the inherent, thorough researches have not been made about sight sing and accompaniment. All of these have been always obstacles to improve the listening practice.Modern education let the learners go into more complicated world of sentiments and reasons, relevantly, sight sing and accompaniment must reflect some necessary theories and practices from inherent structures and exterior patterns melody, tempos and chords, etc. On the one hand, the theoretical distillations of composing can be derived, on the other hand, the individuality of sight sing and accompaniment can be discovered to explore fresh developing tendency and the sources of dynamic force.The subjects of this paper are ten sight singing songs consisting of the diatonic scale system. The synthetic method leadingly used, this paper also elucidates the sight singing and accompaniment by the means of analyzing, contrasting. ChapterⅠis introduction, mainly expounding the research aim and meaning, the present situation, the research subject and methods; ChapterⅡexplains the intervals, structure, color, the rhythm of the sight singing songs, other interval practices, and its characteristics including the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh; ChapterⅢintroduces the harmonic interval, harmonic color and accompaniment ostinato embodied in the diatonic scale system of the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh. Besides, it also presents the feasibility analysis about two accompaniments produced by the dominant music and the polyphonic music. In the analysis, this paper touches upon the harmonic interval, harmonic color, tempos and the influence on emotion. At the same time, it illustrates the importance of sight sing and accompaniment in listening practice, and the relationship between sight sing and accompaniment.
