At the end of the 1980th, by losing it's self-creativity and the growing of the video-art, Chinese drama has encountered its crisis. The avant-courier drama, which was born in this period, was endowed with the dream that put its self-creativity into this art. This renovation had offered a larger space for the avant-courier drama to adapt for the market. Because there exists some relationships between art of literature and the realism, and the avant-courier drama is the outcome of the changing society, the author attempts to review the renovation of the avant-courier drama by considering the influence of the changing society. After studying numerous play and video datum, the author analyzed the drama in five parts:Firstly, the author investigates the innovation of avant-courier drama by analyzing the language and tactics of its play. Secondly, the author emphasizes that the innovation of the drama's function may be more important. By analyzing the characteristics of Chinese avant-courier drama and by differentiating it from the western world, the author reviewed the influence of Chinese avant-courier drama to the drama art. Thirdly, the author analyzed the existing significance of the drama. And at the end of the article, she advanced her thoughts that how to 'walk out' of the predicament and how to solve this predicament of Chinese avant-courier drama.
