In this thesis , I tried to selecte a theme about the modern art schoolsin 1970s in Japan to study. "Mono-ha" was appeared in the period of Modernism Art change to Post Modernism Art. "Mono-ha" reflected the unique nature of the East art . Studying of "Mono-ha"' s art language is important for exploring the unique artistic potential of the East. We can see that China is at East and now in the rapide development , and in Japan, "Mono-ha" is also in the similar period which economy growing rapidly. So , it is worthy of sdutying by Chinese art world in this epoch.This thesis' method of studying was mainly by reseach the historical materials and documents .Through the studying of the date, analysising of social, historical and factors of "Mono-ha" to furtherly study "Mono-ha"' s art language and the value of art.Up to now ,Chinese art world are concerned less with "Mono-ha" and even have no book about "Mono-ha". So,my thesis was tried to study the theme about the cause and the process of"Mono-ha", and on this basis .analysising and researching the art language."Mono-ha" appeared in 1968, when Japan was after the Second World War. at that epoch, Japanese economy was at the 2th in the world. "Mono-ha" was caused of the East ideology, including the integration of Zen thinking and the modern Western civilization. "Mono-ha" began with Sekine Nobio' s work "phase-earth" meet Lee Ufan' s theory of art . "Mono-ha" art was always made by nature materials, and without human making. Works focued on the relation between materials, and the relation between materials and space. It was attempted to remove material noumenon from the time and space. And then , open the authentic world. "Mono-ha"' s art language was a characteristic of the Oriental Art Language , not only the classics of Asian modern art , but also has been concerned by Western art world.
