The China Film Mood Exploration

The artistic concept, is the gem of our country's traditional aesthetics theory, is the reflect of artist's noble character, is the highest realm and standard. Putting the category into cinema's vision not only can rich Chinese cinema aesthetic form and strengthen Chinese film's national feature but also can promote Chinese film artistic character. In the first part, I want to prove this viewpoint's theory is workable in film according to investing this theory's origins. In the second part, the paper will show this theory is the special artistic feature from the culture collision between east and west, and the comparing between western modern poetry theory and Chinese traditional theory. In the third part, this paper recounts the directors' pursue for this theory before 80s, the fifth directors' magnificent films after 80s, the sixth directors' border way without the literary walking stick. These changing give the new form of expression and show this theory's continuity and the new influence. In the fourth part, this paper shows the theory's special meaning to Chinese films.Film is a special art that has strong containing and has deeper expression, especially in color. Following the using of computer, films of new times have a wider way to show the mood. This leads to films only including the beautiful form but neglecting the profound intension. This paper is a summary and inspiring from the failure of films in new times.From the history of Chinese films we can see that these films with deep culture will succeed, these films only imitating Hollywood will surely fail. It is the Chinese films' objective pursuing the unlimited meaning in limited pictures. Putting the traditional aesthetics theory into films can greatly promote our films' standard and make Chinese films a huge leap, a new inspiring.
