Confucius was the founder of Confucian doctrine - one of the main Chinese traditional cultures. The effects of his theories to the development of Chinese culture are amazing; thus, he became the focus of Chinese Philosophy research. Naturally, Feng Youlan, the most influenced philosopher researching Chinese Philosophy in the 20th century, puts Confucius as his research focus. As for the Confucius's ideas of "Tianming", "Ren", "Li", and "the doctrine of the mean", Feng Youlan valued them differently at different times keeping the developing eyes in mind. Unfortunately, his research was affected to a certain degree because of the influences of Great Cultural Revolution. Thus, this paper attempts to present a more whole and complete Confucius image through the unique perspectives of this Chinese great philosopher so as to learn of Confucius better, to offer broader space for Chinese traditional culture and to find new direction for Confucianism in future.
