Confucius is well known as a sage of ancient China and a great thinker recognized by the whole world. His ideas were full of wisdom, influencing the world even today. Throughout his whole life, he was ambitious and fond of learning. At 15, he set his heart on learning. From then on, wherever he was, he focused on learning and questioning everything, quietly to store up knowledge in mind, to learn without flagging, to teach without growing weary. In order to return to the observance of the rites, to consider benevolence to be his and to broaden the way, he forgot to eat while working himself into a frenzy over some problem, being so full of joy that he forgot worries ,not noticing the onset of old age. We can say his remarkable achievement owes to his tireless learning throughout his life. Our time is calling us to learn like Confucius. Because we live in an age in which information has been everywhere with the net and economy globalization has been formidable, application technology is getting newer and newer to high-tech. Exposing to such a rapidly changing era, the past slogan Knowledge is power seems pale. Instead,"capacity","quality","innovation","upgrade"and other new ideas are with us. These new ideas can be achieved by constant learning. Only learning leads to innovation and only constant learning leads to upgrade. In one word, we will be eliminated if we don't learn lifelong.Facing today's development trend, all the public servants at all levels should consider how to innovate and upgrade. Basing on this kind of consideration, this paper mainly refers to the material of The Analects of Confucius and other relevant books, summarizing the Confucian concept of learning through the view of Marxist philosophy from the words of Confucius. Including the seven parts: 1. To learn to be a gentleman ru. 2. The learning attitude to be realistic and pragmatic. 3. The learning courses of"learning","thinking","reviewing", and"doing". 4. The learning motivation of seeking"Dao". 5. To find problems and solve them when learning. 6. The insistent learning approach. 7. The learning contents of"text""behavior","loyalty","trust".The following viewpoints can be regarded as original viewpoints in this paper: 1. The paper thinks that Confucius'learning purpose is to train people who have independent personality; 2. The main learning attitudes of Confucius are to be careful and actual but not embody on"enjoy learning". 3. This process in to 8 little learning processes, namely learning, thinking, asking, rightness, reviewing, reflecting, seeing and doing. 4. This paper re-summarizes Confucius'thinking ideas by comparing the learning approach and learning process and make a conclusion that the learning approach of learning by questioning is regarded as a best way in learning by Confucius, but insistence is the Confucius'largest characteristic. This paper gets five modern ideas by reexamining Confucius'learning viewpoints: Firstly, we must attach high importance to learning ;Secondly, learning needs to have a clear purpose ;Thirdly, learning needs to have a right attitude ;Fourthly, learning needs to pay attention to the right approach, and lastly learning needs to focus on the result.
