Religion Improvement And Spiritual Transcendence

19 - 20 turns of the century, The Russia intellectuals began to doubt and deny their traditional Eastern Orthodoxy at the impact of western civilization and domestic enlightenment of liberalism, and seek for new belief during the end of nineteen century and beginning of twenty century. They led a widely new religion movement, devoting to the innovation of Christian, social reform and individual changing, and that is called"seeking for God movement"among the Russia intellectuals in the beginning years of twenty century. After the disintegration of Soviet Union , many Russian intellectuals studying that new religion movement indicated that the Russian people were desiring for new spiritual pole. They were attempting to get inspiration from the former thinkers. Current China is facing a huge task of social reform , many scholars are also studying Russian traditional culture ,seeking for knowledge to solve the problems in our social reform. As a result, it is significant to clear the essence and characters of Russian"seeking for God movement", and analyze the historical root of the formation of such movement. The article argues that the formation of the movement of seeking for God is owing to Russian special historical and social background. The movement is an inherent and reform of western enlightenment thought and original religious tradition , and it is a resistance to religious and cultural secularization. We can insert here that the movement is a spiritual philosophy about the human ,religion, and society. The article is doing a deeply research about the spiritual transcendent and the unite of God and human, arguing that the essence of human being is spiritual transcendent ,and the essence of spirit is the unite of God and human being."Seeking for God"is seeking for the spiritual transcendent in stead of God . The essence of the movement of seeking for God is an improvement of human's spiritual freedom. And I think that the movement has a great influence on the construction of spirit in current China .
