This dissertation consists of three parts:preface,main body and conclusion.The preface:First,the research work is reviewed,then the content of this dissertation is introduced and the significance of selection of the subject is described.Next,the range of research of the dissertation is defined.The dissertation aims at diet condition of the main class in the late medieval Enland,including diet condition of the noble,peasants and citizens.The main body of the dissertation is divided into three sections.In the first section,the author introduces diet condition of the noble and peasants in manors separately.Firstly, diet condition of the noble is represented.In medieval England,the noble were the privileged in manors,so food they ate was various and delectable.The noble spent vast on food,which was embodied in feasts they held.There existed strict social hierarchy in medieval Enland,therefore,feasts became an effective means of displaying their status.Secondly,diet condition of peasants is expatiated.Peasants were the lower class in medieval England,as result,their diet condition fluctuated much comparing with that of the noble.The author discusses diet condition of peasants before and after"the Black Death"in 1348.In addition,reasons why diet condition was improved were analysed.In the second section, diet condition of citizens in the late medieval England is presented.City appeared as a contradictory to the country.City in medieval...
