The Study Of The Russian Hereditary Noble Family From The Late 18th Century To The Middile 19th Century

It was called the “golden age”of Russian aristocrat, from the Catherine the Great promulgated the Aristocratic Privilege Imperial Edict in 1785 to the Great Reform, nearly hundred years. This thesis mainly research the Russian hereditary noble family of this period. The family is the unit of the society,and also be the mirror of the society. This article attempts to explain the characteristics and the life circumstance of Russian hereditary noble in terms of family, discuss the change of the view of hereditary noble emotion before the Great Reform and the family democratization trend, explore and analysis the spirit of the Russian hereditary noble family. This paper consists of three parts, which are introduction, text and conclusion.The first part is the first chapter, introducing the significance of the topic selection of this paper, current research about domestic and foreign, research methods and writing ideas, the innovation and shortcomings of this paper.The second part is the text, and also the foucs of the writing of this paper, including the second, the third, the fourth and the fifth chapter.The second chapter mainly introduce the definition and the staff composition of Russian hereditary noble family, discuss the organization principle and spirit of family.The family organization included hierarchy, gender differece and the behavior definition.The mainly part of family spirit was about the self-sacrifice, which means the noble should sacrifice personal interest for the whole family. The third chapter introduce the material and cultural life of the Russian hereditary noble family. The character of material life itself was luxurious and comfortable, and noble family was generous hospitality toward the society, which they thought it was their duty. Cultural life was diverse. Thesis length is limited, so this article only discuss it from typical family drama and the family religious activities, in order to explore the spirit of the noble family. The forth capter discuss the noble famly education, which was important to the noble all his life duringthis period. And it was also an improtant part of the aristocratic education system. The fifth capter discuss the marriage, which was the sign of the maturity of noble himself, the way of noble family continuation, and measure to get the family interests.The third part is conclusion. It summerize the noble family spirit, the change of noble emotion view, and the family democracy tendency.
