Tang Tang Poetry For Research On Women

When talks about the female research in T'ang poetry, scholars in Taiwan pay more attention to it compared with scholars in mainland. But all of them are accustomed to think T'ang dynasty as a whole, neglecting the High T'ang as a special and radiant bloom period of Tang dynasty, which causes that few scholars research the female issue of the time in the Chinese poetry of the High T'ang. As the necessary composing part of the High T'ang Character, these contemporary females described in the High T'ang poetry show the reflection of the High T'ang Character beyond all doubt.Through gathering the female images of the time contained in the High T'ang poetry entirely and then classifying them elaborately, this paper is trying hard to analyze the real features of the each class, explore the cause why these female images appear, and revert the sooth reflection of the High T'ang Character.The female images of the time contained in the High T'ang poetry emerge from fragmentary and various information. To lucubrate further, They are classified the three main sorts: ladies in the palace and the noblewomen, civilian ladies, ladies with special identities, according to their different social class and attributes. In addition to these female images, the poems created by the female poets of the High T'ang should come to our attention, which makes us anatomize the subsisting state of the females in the High T'ang period directly. The regional difference between the characteristics of the south and the north are regarded in the research. The contemporary female images presented in the High T'ang poetry are under particular circumstances, which affected by the social conditions of the time from the outside aspect and the feelings of poets included in the poetry from the inside aspect.The contemporary females contained in the High T'ang poetry display the special High T'ang Character, differing from the females in the poetry before and after that period, so that they have outstanding value in the history of the Chinese Poetry and the human society.
