The New Century, Hunan Culture Industry And Its Development Strategy Research

The Cultural industry refers to industries that produces cultural products and provide cultural services. Its development is closely connected with the construction of advanced culture-the construction and development of advanced culture can give directions for the development of cultural industries; the development of cultural industry is a carrier of the construction of advanced culture. The ultimate purpose of developing cultural industry is to meet the increasingly raised cultural needs of people, to improve the all-round development of people. In light of Marxism and its Chinese cultural and economic theory, to quicken the development of cultural industry of Hunan Province is not only a concrete step of enforcing the thought of "Three Represents" but also the urgent need of developing and prospering the advanced socialist culture.This paper employs a variety of means such as surveys and following-up researches, consultation of literature, quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis, general situation with special examples and so on to conduct in-depth study and discussion of the development and approaches of cultural industry in Hunan Province.Firstly, the paper carries out an all-round and in-depth discussion about the connotation, properties and characteristics of cultural industry and tries to precisely determine its position in the society. This part also sum sup the status quo of researches on cultural industry and makes clear its direction of future studies. There is also a serious discussion about the relationship between developing cultural industry and constructing advanced cultures, which provides a linkage between theory and practice in this paper.Secondly, the paper takes the development of Changsha-centered cultural industry as an example, conducts an in-depth research and study, analyzes the advantages and existing problems of Hunan's cultural industry, especially facing new opportunities and challenges after entering into the WTO, and gives a scientific prediction of its development trend.Thirdly, the theoretical structure of Hunan cultural industry is discussed. They include: firstly, the problem that the guiding principle of cultural industry, namely, Marxism and its Chinese cultural theory—especially advanced cultural theory in the important thought of "Three Represents", is how to be used to guide cultural industry is elaborated; secondly, economic theoretical bases are discussed deeply; thirdly, a strategic objective and the general direction are worked out clearly.Fourthly, in accordance with the characteristics and advantages of cultural industry in Hunan, several possible development approaches are proposed in the paper. They include: first of all, in light of culture-related policies issued by the state and provincial government and concrete conditions in Hunan province, we should work out a strategic objective and make clear the general direction. Then, in response to the comparatively lagging-behind nature of the cultural regulation system in our province, the article proposes a strategy of adopting a new perspective on cultural industries and quickening the reform of regulation system. Once more, from the viewpoint of bettering policies, cultures, rules, laws and the market, the article suggests improving the environment for the development of cultural industry. Lastly, the paper brings forward several concrete development methods of enhancing the overall quality of cultural industry from different aspects, such as the adjustment of structure, the shake-up of the resources, improving the scientific and technological elements in the products, talents training and so on.
