From Text To Hypertext

The text is the entity of the concrete performance of the literature activity .It is the object of literature activities and study as substance of expression of the literature activities. According to the study of modern literature, not only is text end product but also its meaning is open and is going to be explained by the reader. The thesis analysis the theory of western text and the development tendency of the text.The chapter one of the thesis introduces four kinds of theories of the text view . The first theory regards the text as work. In fact, the quality is the work view. The second theory views the text as the center. The third theory regards the readers as the center. The fourth theory is Post-structuralism which negates that the text has ultimate meanings. Although the development of these theories is not strictly in proper order of time , it has shown the trend that the situation of reader is becoming higher and higher.The chapter two of the thesis discuses intertextuality originated from trend of thought of modern literature. Be a the kind of the new literature idea, the theory of intertextuality emphasizes that the meaning explored from the relation of texts contributes to survey the meaning of the reading and writing. The theory of intertextuality thinks that the reader play a positive role in the course of the reading. And be a kind of new literature research method, it merges the text into the research of the factors of culture and shapes the open view of research.The third chapter of the thesis discusses the Hypertext in ear of network. Because of the figures technical application and the universality of the world-wide-webs, all texts are becoming a huge hypertext in the network. The hypertext eliminated the difference of the texts that exit different media and promote the mixture of the text and the art. When the reader reads the hypertext, his or her activity is brought into play. They can participate in the creationing of herpytexts directly. So the hypertext changes the situation of the antagonistic relation of the writer and reader.
