"outlook On" Narrative Art Theory

Lin Lan Xiang is an excellent novel about human. But now study about it is veryfrail, especially there are few scholars who have studied its narrative arts. In view ofabove-mentioned facts, I have made a thorough and overall study of narrative arts ofLin Lan Xiang. My thesis is composed of five parts.The first part Compile the book lean on number—number and narrative arts ofLin Lan Xiang elaborates its narrative characteristics which compiled the book leanon number and its artistic accomplishments. Lin Lan Xiang has altogether 8 volumns64 chapters and Yi Jing has altogether 64 trigrames. The book has a relativeindependent story or theme every 8 chapteres. The reason why the author selected thiskind of narrative method was his meditation on the outlook on life.The second part of my thesis is Demonstrate something by dreams—dreamimages and narrative arts of Lin Lan Xiang: The author described many kinds ofdreams and these dreams took on some different characteristics from Chinesetraditional dream culture. It gave rise to strong and deep tragic spirit because of itsinhertitance and development of Chinese traditional dream culture.The description ofdreamland of Lin Lan Xiang fall into four categories.Arrange plot by people—names of figures and narrative arts of Lin Lan Xiang isthe third part of my thesis.
