Lin Bai's novel War of One Person has always been discussing by critics as a classic of female writing in China in 1990s. However, this discussion shows that the work has been seriously misread. With sex comment, many critics concealed the unique and substantial contents, marvellous ways of forming and developing and distinctive vein in details. Therefore, it is necessary to read and comb again the significance and the form of War of One Person. This essay, based on detailed text reading, intend to begin with two key words "recollection" and "time" and to comment the work while combining its significance and form, then explore its tremendous space of interpretation.Lastly, the essay will come to the conclusion that War of One Person is successful penetration, excavation, exploration and naming, to existence and life experience, which is completed while the author "find herself in the vastness of time." (Lin Bai says)The main body of the essay will discuss separately these three parts, the collection of present tense, individualized lyricism and another war of one person.
