Shen and Wang's novels always emphasize the character and life of country. Driven by the marginal psychology and influenced by the marginal perspective, their works are facing away from history. Meanwhile, both of the two writers choose to poetically describe the survival situation of the country life and the form of lives. The Second Chapter is directed to the narrative time and space of Shen and Wang's country novels. Through the illustration and analysis of such time and space forms as "Border town" and "Danao", the author tries to explain the two writers' enlightening stance and their standpoint of looking for the root, who intend to rescue the main current and the center through the margin and folk. Furthermore, through the discussion of the unique narration tense and the art of narration time, the thesis intends to explore their fancy for timelessness and their emphasis ontime-humanization.The Third Chapter focuses on the formation of the narrative structure of these two writer's novels. Shen and Wang's country novels extraordinarily and numerously apply the art of antithesis, especially the art of "former-later" antithesis.
