Song Wan Poetry

Songwan was one of the master poets in the early QingDynasty, called with the other poet Shirenzhang ,"The Southern Shi and Northern Song". Songwan got great achievement in poetry. But for a long time ,he didn't get enough attention and appropriate judgement. Recently although some results about Songwan's poetry came out, special and deep papers about Songwan is in lack. That is a pity.Through the analysis of document and poetry, Songwan's poetry is studied comprehensively in order to evaluate Songwan's poetry and estimate his position suitably.Songwan's life can be divided into three periods. The first, he learned and acted as an officer, then he was took into prison, out of prison he wandered about the south area of the Changjiang River. At last, he was appointed afresh. In a word, he had so much experience about setback, that made his poetry full of grief. His point of poetry was affected much by his friends having individual views exchanged their poetry with Songwan, so Songwan's writing became different from what it was before. Besides this, the customs of Songwan's hometown influenced his personality, indirectly influenced his poetry style.The style of Songwan's poetry has obviously changed in different period. In the first period, he imitated poetry of The HanDynasty and TangDunasty; then he gradually broke away from the constraint of former poet. And he learned from the TangDynasty and SongDunasty。 At last, he wrote great poetry.According to the thoughtfulness, Songwan's poetry can be divided into different sorts: scenery poetry, relating poetry, emotion poetry, present poetry and thing poetry. They have difference in appearance, in fact they all reflected some experiment of the writer. That was the most obvious character of the meaning of Songwan's poetry. Distinguishing feature of Songwan's poetry can be concluded in a word: "crystal-cool and solemn ". It was showed by deep feelings, cool and wide sight, fluent language. His poetry is valuable.In the QingDynasty's poetry, Songwang has his unique position. He succeeded Qianqianyi and be succeeded by Zhashenxin Zhaozhixin and Yuanmei. Their poetry were similar in the sincere and unfolded property. Above all, Songwan was an vanguard in the history of QingDynasty poetry.
