Penglai dialect belongs to Jiaoliao Mandarin of Northern Chinese Mandarin.Attention has been paid to Jiaoliao Mandarin by academic cirdes for a long time. Though many study reports have appeared, most of them were limited only in Rongcheng, Yantai or ther east places, almost none of Penglai. It shows the basic is features of Penglai dialect which not only has something in common with Jiaoliao Mandarin but also some character of its own. Researching Penglai dialect, we can more understand Jiaoliao Mandarin. This thesis select topic about Penglai dialect phone comprehensive investigation, through the phonetic system of single characters, the changes of pronunciation and history the changes of pronunciation study reports, describing Penglai dialect phone basic feature.This thesis use describing and comparative ways, summarize basic regular pattern of ancient Chinese and modern Chinese. The reference frames are Ancient Chinese and standard Chinese.This article is divided in six sections:Section A: Introduction. It explains the general situation of geography, population, the historical evolution of Penglai; the general research situation in the dialect and the phonetic symbols.Section B:The phonetic system of single characters. It describes in detail Penglai Dialect in consonant vowels and tones.Section C:The changes of pronunciation and tones. It describes the tone sandhi of phrase of two-ward the light tone and "zi" word formative suffix changes of pronunciation regular pattern.Section D.The comparison between Penglai Dialect and Mandarin. Section E:The comparison between Penglai Dialect and Ancient Chinese. Section F:A collection of homophones in the Penglai Dialect.
