The thesis makes a research on "Meng-Han" song with its growing background of natural environment, historical environment and folk songs of the surrounding regions of Jungar Qi. It is based on the musical conformation analysis of the "Meng-Han" song and goes into "Meng-Han" song using the musical theory, the analysis techniques and the comparison methods. It also makes research using the study methods and the fruits of ethnomethodology, history and folklore as reference. The key points are summed up as follows:1. "Meng-Han" song is a aesthetic achievement nurtured by both Meng and Han ethnicities. Its formation and development is closely linked with the particular geological location of Jungar Qi in the Erdos region, as well as the culture, history, customs and traditions of the Meng and Han ethnicities. The research paper states the social necessity of "Meng-Han"' song 's emergence by way of recording the Meng and Han ethnicities' changes in the lifestyle and the production methods under their amalgamation, and through the observation of the local nature and historical environment as well.2. "Meng-Han" song develops on the basis of the combination of Erdos little songs and Han ethnicity's mountain songs of northwest China, absorbing extensively other musical elements. Therefore, the musical environment of " Meng-Han" song is the basis of its musical conformation and style. Analyzing the rhythm configuration, lyric contents and diagnostic manner of Erdos region, the paper" also states the musical features of this exact region of half farming and half nomadism life style.3. The primary characteristics of "Meng-Han" song lies in the perfect combination of the Han and Meng ethnic music, including both the elements of Mongolian music and the style of the mountain songs of the Han nationality in northwest China. The paper states the process of how "Meng-Han" song forms its own distinctive style by mixing the cultures of various nationalities through the analysis of the concrete musical conformation of "Meng-Han" song's method of melody n lyrics ^ structure , adornment etc.4. Under present social conditions with the science and technology's highly development,"Meng-Han" song still keeps its great vitality as a traditional folk song and broadly spreads among the public in Erdos region, which could provide precious experience on how to inherit and develop other folk songs in China.
