On The Essence Of Painting Art Form

"Shape" is the most basic carrier of drawing art. The ability about shape has been the criterion of artist. How to realize shape needs to be mastered by everyone working in art field. This article has done some research to find the essence of shape.This article is mainly composed by three parts as below.The concept of shape is identified in the first part. The dual meanings, outline and form, of the concept are also introduced. The outline has the advantage to show essence of shape comparing to solid form, that is to say, the most important factor is outline in drawing process. The flatness of drawing extrudes shape, so it is an important tool to show shape and it is also the essence of shape. In the second part, author explains the Shape concept from the civilization angle, and proves the culture identity of Shape by the analysis on eastern and western culture. Author has draw a conclusion that the flatness of drawing is the necessarian result in the art history.At last, author has researched the reason and necessary of regression of shape essence, and has stated that the flatness is main method. The object is to deal with the specific problems in teaching and working areas. This article bases on art psychology, picture theory, aesthetic and etc. Scientific research methods are also used to analyze the facts. By the compare between several historical periods and the analysis on lots of artists, author has given value of mastering the shape essence for present art .
