Modern Chinese Adverb "" Three Planes Of Analysis

The modal adverb "可"is a high frequency word in modern Chinese spoken language , it can satisfy people's all kinds of needs in language exchange . Why can "可"be used such high frequently ? What is it's central semantic meaning ? How about it's essence character ? How to know and hold it ? About these questions , some people have talked about them before , but most of their researches are static description , even if having some researches on pregmatic , but they are not enough . For the sake of helping people who speak chinese can understand ,explain and use commendably "可", we based on the theory of "three planes" , brought in the theory and method of "situation semantic analysis"and "focus analysis", used the transpositional and contradistinctive analysis method to deep research its essence character and function . Including the prologue and epilogue , this article is made up of three parts . The first part: the analysis of distributing and compounding characters of "可"in the syntax structure . In this part , we concluded four characters of "可"in the structure of syntax through investigation of a lot of language data , which are that the location is comparatively stable ,and more appearing in complex sentences , that more appearing together with "是", that more appearing together with some modal particles"呢,啊,了,啦"and so on.The second part: semantic analysis of"可". This part is made up of two parts: "origin and development of '可''s semantic"and "'可''s situation semantic analysis", the latter is the major of this part . We think the central semantic meaning of "可"is "emphasis", the other semantic meanings are its prologating or emphasizing in different situation.The third part: pragmatic function analysis of"可". In this part,we distilled three main pragmatic functions of "可": expressingabundance mood , communicating all kinds of modality and standing out topic focus , we deep analysized and explained to the three functions , this is the emphasis of this article .
