From the philology point of view, the thesis has mainly compared the common history of War period in the book of shiji and that in zhanguoce. Making use of the philology method, being based upon the abundant document, the author has respectively researched on the difference of narration, detail and outline, countries' name and people's name in shiji and zhanguoce.It is found that in 48 recordation, only a few ones in zhanguoce were more believable than those in shiji. The reason was that shiji was written only by one people, Simaqian. As a person with strong spirit of practical and realistic, he had seriously investigated the entire document in his book, while as the compiler of zhanguoce, liuxiang had only collected some similar material of different nations, deleted repetition, so it was only a book about the collecting material and not an expert historical literature. The radical reason in appraising the two books in the historical facts was the authors' attitude about the historical facts narrated by personates at War period. The main purpose of zhanguoce was to record the personate' words, while they did not pay attention to the accurate and coherent facts, thought too much of how to please people, so many chapters of zhanguoce were dummy, This was the reason why it was more false in historical facts.
