Military service was essentially a labor rent, therefore the person was not free. An important feature of villeinage was to supply labor service in the demesne . In a word, labor rent was at least partly from the principle that the vassal supplied military service . The second was combination of Romanic effect and Germanic effect . Romanic effect meant the system ofRomanic Colonus which was introduced into England . Germanic effect meant the system of Germanic primitive democracy .
