Probing network privacy from the aspect of ethics and analyzing the ethical bases of network privacy, this article establishes ethical principles during the process of the protection of network privacy.Network privacy, which is produced when the concept of privacy developed into network age, refers to the right that the private messages of the network users are not infringed. The present threats to network privacy are abuse of informational technology and immorality on the line. The network intruders, with different aims and employing various methods and illegally collecting and embezzling the private information, make the protection of network privacy vulnerable. The infrigement of network privacy which insults human freedom and dignity, frustrates the process informalization in our country. So it is necessary to analyze the ethical bases of network privacy, and try to put forward ethical principle to protect network privacy.Privacy is not only a kind of legal right but also a kind of moral right. The protection of it can be argued from the following three perspectives: 1. From the perspective of human right. The protection of privacy which belongs to human right is an outstanding feature of human right in information age and at the some time respect for human dignity and human right are one of the important contents of socialist humanistic spirit. 2. From the perspective of individual development. Privacy is closely related to freedom which is the premise of self - realization, so the protection of privacy is greatly meaningful to individual develop-ment. 3. From the perspective of orderly social development. The society must be in mess and can not normally develop if human being infringes privacy mutually.Based on the analysis of the ethical basis and combined the feature of network, four principles of privacy protection are put forward: firstly, the principle of universal respect, which reflects the most universal respect for the protection of network privacy. Secondly, the principle of implicit agreement, which offers a feasible guiding principle for the information collecter with the premise of respecting privacy. Thirdly, the principle of equality of right subject's personality ,which makes equal protection to the elemental right necessary when proctecting privacy. Lastly , the principle of social correction. To make sure the network privacy is protected, the society must correct the action of infringement to privacy.As regards the moral problem concerned in infringement of network privacy, this article probes in two aspects: firstly, in the aspect of vocational moral of eletronic commerce netstation, this article probes the problem of "fidelity and faith"; secondly, analyzing the moral problem of hacker, this article preliminarily probes its harm to network privacy.In the end, this article puts forward concrete method of protecting network privacy. It will be probed positively useful in the aspects of not only technology and legislation but also vocational self - disciple and moral education.
